Hydrotalcite is a hydrated form of an aluminium magnesium basic carbonate corresponding to the formula Al2Mg6(OH)16CO3,4H2O. It contains not less than 15.3% and not more than 18.7% of Al2O3 and not less than 36.0% and not more than 44.0% of MgO. The ratio of the content of Al2O3 to the content of MgO is not less than 0.40 and not more than 0.45.
Laxative
Hydrotacite is Pharmaceutical Aid.Possible eye, skin, gastrointestinal, and/or respiratory tract irritation. Possible hyper sensitization and electrolyte balance. Hypersensitivity to the material, intestinal obstruction, and severe kidney function Impairment. Persons sensitive to aluminum or magnesium may be sensitive to this material also.
